About Rima
Grape-Nuts and cabbage. Those were two of my favorite foods as a child, which still makes me wonder if I was somehow programmed to make nutrition counseling my life’s work. Regardless, I am passionate about good nutrition, and I thrive on sharing my passion for nutrition with clients and my community.
I believe eating healthy should be easy and tasty, and I am committed to making good nutrition approachable for my clients—whether they are trying to lose weight or they have to cut foods from their diets for medical reasons.
Before starting my nutrition counseling practice, I worked as a workplace wellness consultant for Kaiser Permanente. In that role, I designed and implemented workplace wellness programs for employer groups and Kaiser Permanente employees.
Earlier in my career, I was a nutrition instructor at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute. I also formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Denver Dietetic Association.
I hold a M.S. in Nutrition from Arizona State University. I am a Certified LEAP Therapist (for food sensitivity testing) and have completed specialty training in adult weight management. I also contribute to the Evidence Analysis Library for the American Dietetic Association.
